Ladybird Grove & Mess Hall is hosting “Spokes and Folks” – a BeltLine bike ride plus beer and Oktoberfest-worthy BBQ bites, to benefit The Giving Kitchen on Sunday, October 4th. Beginning at 5pm, guests will ride the BeltLine from Ladybird Grove & Mess Hall at mile marker 9.25, to Piedmont Park and back. The ride will be led by The Spindle, Atlanta’s urban commuter/bike apparel shop. Chef Nick Anderson of Rathbun’s and the Ladybird team are preparing Oktoberfest-appropriate dishes like bratwurst, smoked bbq wings, bacon-braised cabbage, pretzels with spicy beer cheese sauce, and potato salad. Tickets are available here ($20) and will cover the guided bike ride, food, and one draft beer from Three Taverns Brewery.
A special fashion show involving local designer, Tracy Nicole, takes place this Sunday, October 4th from 3-5pm inside the Bally store at Phipps Plaza. Tracy Nicole, a cancer survivor and model of courage for Ford Motors, will debut her Fall styles paired with Bally’s beautiful accessories to kick off breast cancer awareness month. The evening is being hosted by Madison James of B98.5 FM Atlanta and 10% of all the proceeds from the event will benefit breast cancer research.
