Baby Kathleen is HERE!!! Welcome to the world, sweet girl! Since Kelly found out she was preggo she has talked about having a little girl, and when the pink balloons came floating out of the gender reveal her smile didn’t fit on her face. Kelly is the PERFECT girl mom – so when we started planning her baby shower with her sister Flynn I knew my involvement was going to revolve around pink, ruffles, glitter, bows and all things GIRLY!
No one does pink like Lisa, owner of The Sweet Trend in Georgia, so I knew I wanted to partner with her right away. Her slogan is “The big picture is styled from the small details creating the event of your dreams,” and it fits her designs perfectly. Even the cookies had ruffles and bows! Turns out, Lisa wasn’t even a big fan of all things pink until her daughter-in-law’s baby shower. Now she can’t get enough of it!
Kelly’s family and friends were going bonkers over these cookies when I brought them over. Have you ever seen anything so cute? They were almost too darling to eat, until you try them and end up having three in one sitting. Whoops…
We created a sea of pale pinks and bright white treats and decorations that we knew Kelly would love. We even had delicious pink shimmery jelly beans (who knew these even existed!?!)
Lisa also found gorgeous pink ombre lollipops for the guests. Pink. Ombre. Lollipops. Just let that sink in for a moment. It was SUCH a special touch to a beautiful pink wonderland.
To compliment the sweets, and add a little salty, Lisa also sourced beautiful mini pecan pies and chocolate covered oreos. Okay, so those were pretty sweet too, but you get the idea.
Ummm please take a look at the bacon Kelly’s aunt made. Talk about YUM! Perfect compliment to all of that amazing chocolate!
Lisa even put together a beautiful bouquet of flowers especially for Kelly! Kelly couldn’t get enough of the gold glittery vase – and beautiful shades of pink and green. The photos don’t do it justice – the flowers are STUNNING.
Ready for cuteness overload? Today is also KELLY’S BIRTHDAY!!! Happy, happy birthday to her! What a week she is having with her new baby girl.
These two O’Neill women are so special to me, and I’m so grateful to call them my friends. Love you both! Already starting to think of the next pink party we can plan for baby Kathleen…
A little more about Lisa and The Sweet Trend…
Kelly and I were introduced to Lisa’s work at several blogger events and parties around town – and we would always recognize her work immediately. We are OBSESSED with her elegant yet fun taste – and the super sweet details she always adds! When I started planning Kelly’s baby shower with Flynn I knew we had to work with Lisa – and that Kelly would be SO excited to see her designs. Well, we were right. Lisa is, without a doubt, one of my favorite people I’ve ever met in Atlanta – partner/vendor/designer aside – she is just fabulous. Even as Kathleen changed her plans and decided to come early Lisa rolled with the punches, helped me plan and create a truly unique experience for Kelly – even while she was enjoying a two week stay at Piedmont Hospital. If you are thinking of having a party in Atlanta (or the surrounding areas) you should give her a call. She will make the party – and probably become a friend.
Thank you for EVERYTHING Lisa. Your work is as beautiful as your personality – and that’s saying A LOT!
