Looking for where to watch the Peachtree Road Race? Well, look no further! I mean, they named the race after our blog for goodness sake! Of COURSE we are fans! But all viewing experiences are not created equal. Check out our race recap from 2014 and then read where we recommend you plant yourself to raise a beer (or mimosa) to the runners. #RunNow #BeerLater
Follow the stride of Atlanta runners to Shake Shack:
Take advantage of front row access to the course while sipping on an ice cold “Shack Shandy” made with ShackMeister Ale and lemonade, raspberry limeade or Shack-made lemonade in hand, as well as complimentary tastes of handspun frozen custard. In addition to delicious sips and bites at the Shack, enjoy face painting, cheer sign decorating, corn hole and Shack swag giveaways while Yacht Rock DJ spins tunes all morning. Inside and on the rooftop patio, the Shack will also serve its signature ShackBurgers, flat-top dogs, crinkle fries and shakes beginning at 7 a.m.
Note: The Shops at Buckhead Atlanta will close off the property’s Bolling Way entrance next to the Shackfrom 7 to 11 a.m. for neighbors and fans to gather for early morning entertainment and race watching.
Corner a Spectator Spot at Tavernpointe:
Get Bloody Excited at Cooks Hall:
Looking for a BYOB option? No problem!
Peachtree Battle Shopping Center: Shop, eat and watch…and use the bathroom:
This is where we would park ourselves when we were still living in Peachtree Hills. It’s mostly residents of the neighborhood, and a little more tame. But it’s also a great spot to get a little extra tailgating and elbow room.
Outside the Shepherd Center:
Patients are often outside, cheering on runners as they head up Cardiac Hill, one of the toughest parts of the race. It’s inspiring to see the community come together! However, DO NOT be a jerk. Make way for people who need a little more assistance or space to get a good view of the race.
