“Between the optimist and the pessimist, the difference is droll. The optimist sees the doughnut; the pessimist the hole!” – Oscar Wilde
We couldn’t agree with you more Mr. Wilde! We love a good old-fashioned glazed doughnut with a nice round hole in the middle, but we also love the inventive creations from our friends over at Bon Glaze – no hole required! I mean, just look at these beauties…
Bon Glaze offers a sweet array of gourmet doughnuts, as well as bon bons (their version of doughnut holes), bacon (candied, chocolate dipped and smoked), and liege waffles (topped with nutella of course). We taste-tested a number of items on the menu (all so we could give you the inside scoop of course!), and our favorites are Strawberries and Crème, Campfire, and Salted Caramel Balsamic. We also loved the Candied Cayenne bacon.
Kelly and Kenny Keith created Bon Glaze after years of searching for the perfect doughnut across the country. They came up empty-handed in their search and decided there was a “lack of a doughnut imagineering.” They set out to give people a more “decadent and memorable doughnut experience” and Bon Glaze was born! We love supporting local small businesses, and this truly is a family-run business. In fact, the Keith’s daughter insisted on adding a Cotton Candy doughnut to the menu (brilliant!), and it’s been a favorite for kids coming into Bon Glaze since day one. Plus, it makes for a fun picture.
Bon Glaze Brookhaven is now open and ready to accept your sweet tooth. And, this isn’t just a morning operation, they are open until 8pm every night. How fun would it be to bring a sampling of doughnuts for dessert to your next dinner party?! They are also opening a Buckhead location on Roswell Road – coming soon.
