It’s officially COLD in Georgia at 6:45 AM when my pup Bocephus decides he absolutely, 100% cannot wait a single moment longer to go outside for his morning walk. The kind of cold that definitely requires a hood – but not a floor length parka. It’s time to bring on the best cold weather gear.
Recently, I’ve been reaching for my RefrigiWear Pure-Soft Jacket. It’s super soft and comfortable, and also has a removable hood (that also sits flat when not in use…which is key!) I have a very long torso, so it’s one of the only puffers that extends below my waist for added warmth. It’s also apparently comfortable down to 10°F- which I have no intention of testing if I have anything to say about it.
If you’re loving RefrigiWear like I am, they’ve also developed a super handy Comfort Rating Scale, which is helpful in finding the best product based on your lifestyle and climate needs. So if you’re couch surfing or shoveling snow – there’s a choice perfect for you.
I’m also pretty obsessed with these gloves – which keep my fingers cozy and warm while I’m holding a leash, a iPhone or…a cocktail on our night walk. #KeepingItReal. Silver conductive thread on all five fingers allows me to use my touch screen devices (hello Instagram.) The soft acrylic stretch knit is never itchy, and stretches to fit large or small hands. Barrett may have stolen these a time or two – but they shrink right back to fit me!
What are your cold weather gear essentials this season? Are they cocktail walk approved? Let me know! The weather outside is frightful, after all!
Thanks to RefrigiWear for partnering with us on this post. My frozen ears and fingers thank you for the added warmth. You can’t put a price on not suffering from frostbite – but if you could it would be the cost of the free gear we received. Opinions are all ours.
