Confession time. I got married nearly five years ago…and I haven’t framed a SINGLE WEDDING PHOTO. Not ONE. You don’t have to try and make me feel better about this because there’s just no excuse. However, I’m going to give you one anyway.
Getting photos printed and framed is hard. Getting photos printed and lovingly showcased in gallery-worthy custom frames at affordable prices is impossible. Or so i thought.
About a year ago (four years into my naked walls for those of you keeping score) I had the pleasure of hearing Dara Segal, the Founder of Simply Framed, speak at a design workshop. I clung to her every word.
Here is Dara’s Declaration of Framing: We the makers, in order to form a more beautiful household, have the right to not be overwhelmed by too many frame and mat options. We will not stand for waiting weeks for finished frames. Empty walls are sad walls, and we are all about the pursuit of happiness for all blank surfaces, yo! We will prevail!
Okay, so that’s a total lie. I made that up. But that WAS along the lines of what she said. So, I wen’t for it. I gave Simply Framed a try.
Guys, I realize I also have similar passionate prose for things like coconut oil and Chiptole burritos, but this is the REAL DEAL. I loved Simply Framed. It’s going to change the way I think about framing. Chances are, I won’t wait five years to get prints and photos framed.
Note: Simply Framed also let’s you mail in prints, photos, paintings (you name it) to frame as well. Every frame is custom to what you send them. I had intended to do this. In fact, I think I told Simply Framed I was going to do this. But I really needed these wedding pictures framed, and the awesome brand reps (seriously, amazing to work with, just like everyone on their team) genuinely wanted me to experience the brand. And I loved the wedding photos. And I’m going to get ALL THE THINGS FRAMED. But for now, to keep it real, I got some of these beauties for free. And then I immediately bought more with my own monies. My walls have never been happier.
Simply Framed was kind enough to work with us on this post, but my love for their incredibly high quality printing and framing is all mine!
