Sorry for the delay on the September update! After we got back from our amazing babymoon in late August (post and pics to come one of these days!), it seemed like September just flew right on by preparing for Baby O. Still can’t believe she will be here very soon!
September Pregnancy Update
Baby’s size: The size of a squash (just in time for fall!).
I’m feeling: Tired! The third trimester really hit me like a ton of bricks. Between the crazy swelling in my hands and feet, heartburn, and trouble sleeping, I’ve had plenty of reminders that it’s time to slow down.
Food love: Cottage cheese, greek yogurt, carbs, ALL sweets, and especially ice cream! I was advised to indulge in a daily milkshake to try to up the weight gain at the end of the month, and I was happy to oblige with the doctor’s orders.
Food hate: Not too many food hates at this point, just trying to avoid super rich or spicy things that will cause heartburn – yuck!
Pros: We had a lovely visit to Virginia Beach to see the in-laws for Labor Day and a beautiful shower with family and friends in New Jersey before my travel ban kicked in.
Cons: The lack of sleep is for the birds.
Currently living in: Maternity jean shorts with loose tops, flip flops (to let my swollen puppies breath!), and of course maxi dresses. Thank goodness fall in Atlanta really doesn’t start until late October/November, so I can continue to rock my mostly summer wardrobe for the time being.
Looking forward to: My Atlanta shower hosted by Meg and my sister in October – they’ve been working super hard to put everything together down to the last perfect baby girl detail and I can’t wait!
Dreaming about: Meeting our little girl! Now that I have been really feeling her move, it’s all feeling a bit more real 🙂
