Love is in the air and with Valentine’s Day falling on a Sunday this year, the pressure is ON. Make sure to match your ressie to your relationship status – whether it’s complicated or you’re working on kiddo number 3. Let’s take a tour of Valentine’s Day in Atlanta…
Stumped Where to Take Your Tinder Date
Cooks & Soldiers! It doesn’t get more romantic than sharing plates – big and small – of delicately prepared Basque cuisine – plus if your date ends up not being more eye candy than conversationalist this style of dining gives you plenty to talk about! For couples with an appetite, share the chuletón one kilogram bone-in ribeye with Tempranillo bordelaise and ensalada verde. Toast the occasion with libations from the restaurant’s extensive wine and beer list, craft cocktail offerings and selection of Basque specialties such as txakoli and cider.
You’re Looking to Get Wifed
Le Bilboquet is, hands down, one of the city’s hottest restaurants. For $100 per person, indulge in four courses including an amuse bouche of oyster with spicy mango salsa and a choice of signature dishes and specials for the occasion such as lobster ravioli with white truffle oil, veal chop with winter vegetables and a creamy morel sauce and chocolate dipped strawberries for dessert. Le Bilboquet will treat ladies with a complimentary rose upon arrival. But make sure you’re serious about your date…a credit card is required for all reservations and guests will be charged a $50 per person cancellation fee within 48 hours.
You’re Just Not That Into Valentine’s Day Dinner
Portofino! Dinner is so 2015…this year let’s do BRUNCH for Valentine’s day! Located in a quiet pocket of Buckhead, Portofino is a can’t go wrong hidden gem with a charming setting to escape from Atlanta’s hustle and bustle. Their comfort food creations are well suited for a leisurely, sunny brunch on the heated patio, paired with a glass of Prosecco. The true star (besides your date) is Portofino’s Bloody Mary option featuring your choice of artisanal garnishes. We recommend the pasta dishes – especially the fettuccine carbonara and bucatini all’Amatriciana. Portofino will also be open for Valentine’s Day dinner on Sunday, February 14, but really…who cares?

Cheese Dip is Your Love Language
El Azteca! Every year my fingers are crossed that the hubs will take me to El Azteca on V-Day. There is nothing more romantic than sippin on margs and splitting a Combo #1 with flour tortillas. Ahhhh romance!
